The Gophers men’s hockey team made it to the Frozen Four last year, but it will not make an appearance on any of the 24 college hockey games broadcast nationally by NBC Sports Network this season.
This news comes despite the network’s beefed-up coverage to prepare for a National Hockey League lockout.
Fellow Western Collegiate Hockey Association member Nebraska-Omaha will appear on the network six times, which is the most of any team in college hockey. Wisconsin, Denver, Colorado College and North Dakota will also play nationally televised games this season.
