Minneapolis ranked number 80 out of 100 for the drunkest cities in the United States, according to the latest list put out by Men’s Health.
Madison, Wis. ranked 15 and Columbus, Ohio (home of Ohio State University) was placed at 83.
Death from alcohol-related liver disease was one of the statistics Men’s Health used to compile the list. They also looked at the number of drunken car crashes, DUIs (plus the penalties that come with those) and self-admitted binge drinking.
Meanwhile, Minneapolis is looking to crack down on drinking even more with the social host ordinance. City Council members will vote on the issue Feb. 12.
