The body of a deceased male was recovered from the Mississippi River at the Ford Dam in St. Paul at approximately noon today. The man was in his 20s.
According to a press release from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, it is believed that this is the man who jumped from the Interstate 35W bridge in Minneapolis on March 20 around 6 pm. During the past two weeks, the Sheriff's Office had been using boats to conduct daily searches of the river.
On Tuesday, the St. Paul Fire Department, St. Paul Police, Ramsey County Sheriff's Office and the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office responded to the recovery.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death and will identify the individual.
