A scuffle between University students outside Walter Library Thursday night ended in a citizen’s arrest by the victim.
At about 5 p.m. Thursday, a 22-year-old man suffered minor injury after a 20-year-old female student struck him in the face.
The pair had known each other from two years ago and had possibly lived in the same dorm, said University of Minnesota Police Department Deputy Chief Chuck Miner.
Miner said police didn’t witness the event, so the victim filled out a citizen’s arrest form.
The accused was cited and released at the scene, according to the police report.
