Students were evacuated from Territorial Hall early Thursday morning, after someone set fire to a community adviser’s door.
Fire alarms woke students at approximately 3 a.m. The community adviser was not in his room at the time, and a student who lives next door extinguished the fire using a blanket.
“I thought it was pretty stupid – especially after the apartment fire – but I think (Territorial Hall) is a safe place to live,” said Territorial resident Cory Hillery, a first-year business student.
The fire left minor burn marks on the door and caused no other damage.
Many Territorial Hall students were unaware of the fire and thought the incident was a drill.
