A woman was sexually assaulted Saturday evening after entering a stranger’s car in Dinkytown, according to an email from the University of Minnesota Police Department.
The woman was walking on University Avenue between 10th Avenue Southeast and 13th Avenue Southeast — near FloCo Fusion, Sanford Hall and Roy Wilkins Hall — when the suspect offered her a ride, the email said.
Sometime between 9:30 p.m. and midnight, the man drove her to an unknown location. When she came home, her roommate called Minneapolis Police to report the sexual assault, the email said.
The victim described the car as “possibly a red, two-door car,” the email said.
