Franken sends Coleman $16,000 legal bill
Since the end of Al Franken and Norm Coleman’s U.S. Senate election trial last week, team Franken has apparently been tallying up the legal bill. According to the Pioneer Press, Franken is charging Coleman with more than $16,000 for attorney fees and court costs. Included in the filing was the hourly rate for Franken’s attorneys, which reached as much as $538 for lead attorney Marc Elias.
Anti-GLBT vandals hit Hamline campus
Vandals covered the Hamline University campus with anti-GLBT graffiti this week, the Star Tribune reports. The vandalism came on Hamline’s “Rainbow Week,” an annual week of activities led by a campus GLBT group. Police have not caught any vandals yet, but school officials told the Strib they intend to "pursue every avenue to discover the perpetrators of this vandalism."
