If this summer's Total Recall and Judge Dredd remakes or American Apparel's $6 hair scruncies weren't enough of an indication, the 90s are back! As such, the Spice Girls are set to reunite for the closing cerimonies of the upcoming Olympic Games in London, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The pop group hasn't performed together since 2008's reunion tour. They were reportedly offered the chance to perform at Buckingham Palace for June's Diamond Jubilee concert, but turned it down when Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) held out.
This time, they're all accounted for: Beckham Emma Bunton (Baby), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty), Geri Halliwell (Ginger) and Melanie Brown (Scary). They'll share the stage with the Who, George Micheal and Take That for the ceremony on August 12. The Girls have ben confirmed that they'll be performing their breakout earworm "Wannabe."
"I don't know about a comeback tour, but I loved being back with the girls," Beckham said. "We are very excited about the Olympics."
Thank goodness for that.
