The crowd gathers in Washington, D.C. (Stephen Maturen, DAILY)
Reporter Ian Power, who is in Washington, D.C., called me about 10 minutes ago as he left for the Capitol. He said crowds were very large and still growing, with an estimated size of about 2 million people. As Ian headed toward the Capitol, he told me he was staggered by the number of vendor booths selling Obama merchandise. He said the vendors were doing quite well this morning. Check back with Filed Under Politics for more updates from Ian, and hopefully later in the day we’ll have some photos from Stephen Maturen.
