Hennepin County officials will close one lane on the Washington Avenue 
Bridge Wednesday as part of work being done on the pedestrian level,
according to an e-mail sent to students from University Vice President 
Kathleen O'Brien.

"The County will close the inside, westbound lane from 9:00 a.m. until
3:00 p.m. They may also close the inside lane on the eastbound side of
the bridge, but are not able to confirm if that work will take place," 
according to the e-mail. 

There will be additional closures in the in the coming weeks, meaning 
students can expect more e-mail notifications from the University.
