Gophers junior defensive tackle Jewhan Edwards is no longer in school, according to a report from 1500 ESPN claiming that head coach Jerry Kill announced the news on WCCO this morning.
Edwards started 11 games for the Gophers this season and led the team in sacks (three) and tackles for loss (11).
The junior had made big strides from his sophomore season and leaves with one year of eligibility remaining.
Edwards is the second player to leave the program since the new coaching staff has been in place. Wide receiver Bryant Allen transferred to Illinois State earlier this month.
