The Somalia-based terrorist group, al-Shabaab, released a video threatening shopping malls in the U.S. Canada and the U.K., Saturday, according to CNN.
Canada’s West Edmonton Mall, Britain's Oxford Mall and hometown Minnesota’s Mall of America were the three malls the group threatened directly in the video, CBS news reported.
The video shows a photograph of the Mall of America and its GPS coordinates.
The mall has increased security in response to the threat, ABC news reported.
The al-Shabaab video also glorifies a 2013 attack on the Westgate Mall in Nairobi, Kenya that left more than 60 people dead.
USA Today reported Sunday that the secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson said though shoppers should be more attentive than usual, they shouldn’t be dissuaded from going to the mall.
