House Speaker Kurt Zellers, R-Maple Grove, spoke Thursday at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, previewing the upcoming legislative session.
Speaking to a crowd of roughly 50, Zellers promoted Reform 2.0 âÄî a package of tax cuts, reduced regulations and objections to health care reform.
The upcoming legislative session will include three hotly debated issues: the Vikings stadium, a voter ID law, and the constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage.
Zellers briefly touched on these three issues but mostly focused on keeping jobs in Minnesota and the importance of improving Minnesota’s education system.
The legislative session begins Tuesday, Jan. 24.
