Two people were treated for minor injuries Thursday morning after a Campus Shuttle struck a sign when it swerved off the road to avoid another vehicle on the transitway.
The incident happened at 11:18 a.m. as the shuttle was headed toward the St. Paul campus, University police Deputy Chief Steve Johnson said.
A total of 24 people, including the two injured, were on the bus, Johnson said. It’s unclear whether the two are University students.
A traffic investigator from the Metropolitan Transit Police is reconstructing the scene and will file a report with his findings, Johnson said.
Non-University vehicles are not allowed on the transitway.
