Record holder of living with bullet in head dies

The man holding the record for living the longest with a bullet in his head died in California at 103.

William Lawlis Pace died at a nursing home on Monday, 94 years and six months after being accidently shot by his brother in 1917, according to the Associated Press.

Pace, a native of Texas, acquired injuries to one of his eyes and facial nerves but was not prevented from working as a cemetery custodian. Doctor's left the bullet in because they were worried about causing brain damage with surgery, reported the Associated Press.

The official crowning title for Pace came in 2006 in the category of "unwanted cranial ammunition acquistion."
