At the Half: Tim Frazier, tell your friends about him

It took 6:52 for Penn State to even get a bucket.

So with his teammates struggling from the field, Nittany Lions guard Tim Frazier decided to take over.

He did just that.

Frazier scored 10 of Penn State's first 13 points to jump start his squad's offense. He finished with 13 points and five assists through the first 20 minutes as Penn State leads Minnesota 35-30.

The Nittany Lions finished the half on a 28-13 run as the Gophers went ice cold from the field. Minnesota shot just 4 for 17 from the field after a 6 for 10 start — couple that with eight turnovers and it's not tough to see where the Gophers deficit came from.

Penn State forward Ross Travis is doing some heavy lifting down low. He has 10 points and seven rebounds.

Elliott Eliason is one of Minnesota's few bright spots early. The Big Easy has eight points, seven rebounds and three blocks at the break. The Gophers have missed the production of Austin Hollins, who has just two points after sitting major minutes with two first-half fouls.
