KUOM 770 Radio K, or simply “Radio K” to all you hepcats, just filmed their 200th in-studio video. Now, 200 may have signaled the slow downfall of the quality of Simpsons episodes, but the fine volunteers at the K continue to deliver the goods in ways Matt Groening can only dream of. Since the 1990s, the station has attracted countless musicians local and nationally recognized. And recently, they’ve started filming them. Videos from Sondre Lerche, The Vaselines, Tapes n’ Tapes—and recent ones from Cymbals Eat Guitars, Wild Beasts, and Twin Shadow are all available for your electronic viewing pleasure. Enjoy streaming audio, interviews, and each band’s personalized Polaroid photo along with an ample collection of videos as well. The 200th video features Mark Mallman‘s “Minneapolis,” a fitting song for the Mill City’s best radio station. But if you don’t agree with that, we can at least agree Radio K is the University of Minnesota’s best radio station.
