Editor’s note: Between 75,000 and 80,000 people converge at the University every day, according to Parking and Transportation Services.
And as the largest campus of the University system, with about 38,000 students in 250 fields of study, even the biggest man on campus can feel like just a number.
To break through the overwhelming numbers, The Minnesota Daily staff photographers captured images throughout a 24-hour period that represent a broad array of University life.
Nine Daily photographers set out Wednesday at 12 a.m. to capture the University on film, and returned 24 hours later, bringing with them a view of University from their eyes.
From the University’s hospitals to the Mississippi to Dinkytown, the Daily photographers attempted to show the University from its many aspects, thereby allowing its many members get to know each other a little better.
