We would like to extend our congratulations to Valery Forbes, who will be taking charge as dean of the College of Biological Sciences in July, replacing interim dean Tom Hays who has been holding the position since former dean Robert Elde announced his retirement.

Forbes brings a wealth of experience from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Roskilde University in Denmark. With this experience she hopes to promote interdisciplinary work between biological sciences and make use of her exceptional leadership skills. We wish her the best of luck and welcome her to the University of Minnesota.
