We are pleased that all three candidates we endorsed — U.S. Democrat Sen. Al Franken, Gov. Mark Dayton and state Rep. Phyllis Kahn, DFL-Minneapolis — all won re-election this election.

We believe they have already done an admirable job working for Minnesota, especially on behalf of its students.

We hope to see continued progress and help for students, particularly in regard to rising tuition and debt, as well as funding and access to education. We urge the winners to remember that it’s time to take action on campaign promises — and not time to become complacent with their respective positions.
