Nico Sacchetti tallied his first career goal with 1:23 left in regulation to make it 4-1 and give Minnesota its first win since Nov. 21 (a 5-2 win over Denver).
Sachetti’s goal was Minnesota’s third power-play goal of the game and the team has now converted five of its last seven chances.
The Gophers brought the shot chart back to near even at 25-26 CC, but the win ties the Gophers with Denver for the WCHA lead.
