A sexual assault was reported in Marcy-Holmes early Sunday morning, according to a campus-wide alert sent Tuesday.
The incident took place at the corner of Seventh Street Southeast and 12th Avenue Southeast at 1:30 a.m. The two male suspects were described as having a heavy build and were scared off shortly after the assault by another group.
This is the second SAFE-U alert regarding crime in Marcy-Holmes in the last week. On Saturday, a victim was robbed in Dinkytown by a group of four to five suspects. This is also the third all-campus alert of the semester sent out about sexual misconduct on campus. One incident was reported in September and the other was reported in October.
This is a breaking news report. More information will be added as it becomes available.
