A bicyclist was struck by a Metro Transit bus near Nicholson Hall at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to University of Minnesota police Deputy Chief Chuck Miner. The biker sustained minor injuries, he said.
He said the bus and the female biker were in the same lane heading north on Pleasant Street Southeast. As the bus pulled past the stop sign and out through the Pillsbury Drive intersection, it turned slightly to the right and clipped the biker.
Miner could not confirm if the biker was a student. It has not yet been determined who was at fault in the accident.
