Playing a few songs over and over is unheard of at Radio K. The student-run, 5,000-watt radio station satisfies eclectic musical tastes.
Radio K 770 AM, located at 610 Rarig Center, plays music from sunrise to sundown. With a computer, modem and Real Audio nearby, it is possible to keep the station running until midnight.
A variety of music — including hip-hop, rock and international music — is played on the campus radio station. Radio K also plays local music that cannot be heard on any other station.
Radio K’s request line is (612) 626-4770. Furter information is available at their Web site, located at www.radiok.org.
On the Web site, it is possible to check out upcoming concerts, merchandise and store discounts.
