A grassfire has sparked in Shakopee while much of southwestern Minnesota and the south Metro are facing potentially critical fire conditions, according to WCCO.

A few areas, including the city of Eden Prairie, have enacted burning bans to lessen the chance of more wildfires erupting. Dry and warm weather conditions, low humidity and strong winds contribute to making an area susceptible to wildfire.

I know lots of U students call the south metro home, so please use caution if you are traveling there anytime soon.
