The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office has positively identified the body found floating under the Franklin Avenue Bridge on Tuesday afternoon.
It has been confirmed that the body is indeed the man who a witness saw jump from the Washington Avenue Bridge at about 3:30 a.m. April 26.
However, the name of the man has been withheld from the public by the medical examiner’s office at the request of the man’s family.
The office has confirmed that it was a suicide and that no foul play was involved.
The body was found on the west side of the Mississippi River at about 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.
