It was a bleak, gray day, like the day before. Suddenly, Elmo heard a voice: “Parlez vous franáais?” Elmo knew this was something in a foreign language, something he had heard before. He answered, “Partly to mostly cloudy and warmer today, with a high in the middle to upper 20s.” Perhaps today Elmo would learn a new language, and do his part to become a member of the global community, whatever that was. Or maybe tomorrow, which would be just as cloudy but would be warmer, maybe even in the 30s. Oui, Elmo thought. Tomorrow.
