A former University of Minnesota student was robbed near the Knoll area around 11 p.m. Sunday night, according to a campus-wide email sent Monday morning.
Three men in ski masks and dark clothing assaulted and robbed the former student who was walking northbound on Pleasant Street Southeast, according to the email. One of the men brandished a handgun while the other two physically assaulted the victim.
The suspects stole the victim’s wallet. The victim sustained a bloody nose with red marks and swelling on their face. Medical attention was declined, according to a University spokesperson.
The victim described the assailants as males in their late teens, but had no further details.
The incident is currently under investigation and University of Minnesota Police Department urges anybody with information to call 612-624-2677.
