The Associated Press has confirmed with Washinton State Athletic Director Jim Sterk that Washington State head coach Tony Bennett will become the new head coach at Virginia.
That should officially put to rest any more rumors that Minnesota head coach Tubby Smith will be heading to Virginia which is likely a big relief for Athletics Director Joel Maturi.
Really that leaves maybe one possibility left for Smith and that being the Arizona job. Haven’t been much in the way of rumors lately however. Don’t be surprised though it a few start flying now that the Virginia job is filled.
