A University of Minnesota Medical Center patient made a bomb threat at the center’s Fairview location late Wednesday night, according to University police.
The patient hinted to hospital staff that he was carrying a bomb and threatened to kill the doctors and nurses who attempted to check his medical history, according to the report. Police found no evidence of a bomb during a search.
According to University police, the man was arrested for trespassing and making terroristic threats. The report indicates that he had caused problems at the medical center before.
Deputy Chief Chuck Miner said this kind of bomb threat is not typical in the area.
