Minnesota’s volleyball players Stephanie Hagen and Lindsey Berg were selected to the All-Big Ten First Team.
Berg was one of four unanimous selections to the team. The Gopher co-captain ranks third in Minnesota history and fifth on the Big Ten career assists list with 5,799. Berg is the first setter in Minnesota volleyball history to earn all-conference honors three times in a career.
Hagen is the Gophers’ career leader with a .363 hitting percentage, ranks second on Minnesota’s all time-list with 517 blocks, and seventh in Minnesota history with 1,383 kills.
Horak gets rookie award
Freshman goaltender Jody Horak won WCHA women’s league rookie of the week honors after helping Minnesota earn a win and a tie against then-No. 2 Dartmouth and then-No. 3 New Hampshire, respectively. She totaled 74 saves and allowed five goals for a .939 save percentage last weekend.
