The WCHA tabled its vote to admit Bemidji State into the conference on Tuesday at the WCHA annual meetings in Marco Island, Fla. Citing scheduling issues that an 11-team conference would create, WCHA commissioner Bruce M. McLeod said the conference will now look for another applicant to expand the league to 12 teams.
