The University of Minnesota menâÄôs golf team ranking worsened but is still in the top 50 teams ranked by Golfweek. The Gophers are now ranked No. 47, a drop from the No. 14 ranking earlier in September. The new ranking comes after the Gophers took second at the Adams Cup. The current No. 1 team is Lamar . The current No. 1 individual is Bronson Burgoon from Texas A&M. Individually, senior Victor Almstrom garnered the highest ranking on the team at No. 102 and junior Ben Pisani is at No. 144 . Around the Big Ten, Illinois is the highest at No. 9 and other notables are Iowa ranked No. 30 . and Wisconsin sits at No. 51. âÄîHeidi Hanse Men picked to finish fourth in WCHA The media and coaches have spoken and both chose the Minnesota menâÄôs hockey team to finish fourth in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association this season. The Gophers are deadlocked with Wisconsin for fourth place in both the media and coaches poll with both teams receiving 156 points from the media and 53 points from the coaches. Colorado College was picked to repeat as champions of the WCHA while North Dakota was pegged as the No. 2 team in the conference and rounding out the top 3 is Denver. âÄîPaul J. Cordes
