Minneapolis police officers are searching for suspects after a man was fatally shot near the University’s West Bank.
First Precinct officers responded to a shots-fired call on the 1400 block of Washington Avenue South just after 3 a.m. Thursday.
Officers found the dead body of an adult male when they arrived.
Preliminary investigation showed the man was shot, according to police. No suspects have been identified by the Minneapolis Police Department.
Homicide investigators are seeking witnesses and anyone with information about the incident.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Officer will release the name of the victim and the cause of death in a press release.
