The collision occurred when the four-door Geo Metro attempted to merge with eastbound University Avenue traffic from the Interstate Highway 35W north-exit ramp. The car nudged out under the truck’s trailer and ended up between the front and rear tires.

The collision shattered the car’s windshield and punched in the driver-side door.
