It is ironic that the Minnesota Daily editorial board would be encouraging critical thinking on the same day that the paper published another Met Council/University press release on the Central Corridor Project. According to the press release, which masquerades as a newspaper article written by a not very thoughtful or questioning reporter, âÄúLRT construction (is) to begin soon.âÄù How can construction of the LRT line begin when pending lawsuits question whether or not the project is in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the Federal Transit Administration has not yet agreed to pay half the cost of the project?
