All lanes along a section of northbound Interstate 35W from Highway 62 to Interstate 94 in south Minneapolis will be closed from 10 p.m. on Friday, July 17 through 5 a.m. on Monday, July 20 for construction work.
All ramps on northbound I-35W between Highway 62 and I-94 will also be closed during this time, according to a city of Minneapolis press release. When the freeway reopens to traffic on July 20, the exit ramp from northbound I-35W to 31st Street will reopen to traffic.
However, the exit ramp to 35th/36th Street will remain closed through September.
Construction crews will do pavement work as part of the ongoing reconstruction of I-35W from Burnsville to downtown Minneapolis. The project is funded by the Urban Partnership Agreement.
