On Friday Michigan Tech took a 2-0 lead. Minnesota fought back, culminating with Patrick White knocking in the game winner with 26 seconds left in the third period.
Saturday Minnesota took control early, with Mike Carmen scoring what eventually became the game winner en route to the 3-2 win.
The Gophers improve to 8-9-1 overall, including 6-7-1 in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. Minnesota now has 13 points, and are now one point behind sixth place North Dakota, and four points behind third place Minnesota Duluth.
