U.S. Rep. Tim Walz, D-Minn., is joining the Democratic movement to distance from New York Rep. Anthony Weiner in the wake of Weiner’s admissions of scandalous Twittering.
After first claiming his Twitter account had been hacked when a lewd photo was sent from it, Weiner switched his story this week and admitted it was just the latest in a series of sexual photos he had sent to women met through the social media site.
Walz gave the $3,000 in campaign funds he got from Weiner to charity, CNN reports.
Walz is among the dems that Republicans are calling to give back Weiner’s donations, the New York Times reports. Republicans are singling out reps who represent swing districts.
