A University of Minnesota student was stabbed with a knife during an attempted robbery Wednesday night.
Minneapolis police responded to a call around 7:30 p.m. The incident occurred near 611 Huron Blvd., according to the text alert sent out by the University police, warning students to “use caution.”
According to the police report, the student was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center with multiple stab wounds. Minneapolis police Sgt. Steve McCarty said the student’s injuries were not life-threatening.
The suspect, who fled before the police arrived, did not take any valuables from the student.
