A combination of hypothermia and acute alcohol intoxication contributed to the death of a University of Minnesota freshman whose body was found near the Mississippi River in December, WCCO reported Thursday.
According to WCCO, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner determined 19-year-old Jacob Anderson's cause of death last month, and did not release his blood alcohol level.
Anderson's body was found near the Stone Arch Bridge the morning of Dec. 15. According to the WCCO report, it's unclear how his body ended up on the riverbank. The Minneapolis Police Department is still investigating the incident.
