Summit Brewery, Minnesota's largest craft brewer, is set to debut a new logo in April at opening day for the Minnesota Twins, according to a blog on the company's website.
The new, more classical design comes as the company plans to double its production capacity. The logo was last redesigned 14 years ago when a new brewery was opened.
"We felt it was again time to update our look," said Mark Stutrud, founder of Summit Brewing. "Innovation is part of our DNA and we think this change signals that committment while also honoring the community that built this company."
The logo will retain the distinct barley, hops and diamond motif that the company's had since its 1986 opening.
The logo will initially be served in the newly redesigned Summit Town Hall Ball Tavern at Target Field, with further rebranding going on throughout 2013 and 2014.
