ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) âÄî A new report says Minnesota’s two-year colleges should look harder at the job market as they train workers in occupations like carpentry and law enforcement. The legislative auditor’s report says overall the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system does a good job of assessing demand for workers. But it says some of the colleges could do better. The audit says not all campuses closely match their programs to the market, give students enough information about jobs or follow their post-college employment closely. MnSCU officials say they’re taking steps to strengthen ties to employers and to give students a better picture of their job prospects.
