Bill Davis, the former director of Community Action of Minneapolis, and his son were indicted by a federal grand jury Thursday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.
Davis allegedly worked with his son, Minneapolis Police officer Jordan Davis, to scheme and steal over $250,000 in taxpayer money from the nonprofit over the course of seven years until 2014, according the Tribune. The two men face charges of conspiracy, fraud and theft.
Minnesota Public Radio reported the funds were siphoned first into an executive “slush fund” where the two allegedly used the money for expensive trips and accommodations.
These stolen dollars were also used to buy cars and luxury cruises. The Minneapolis Police Department has not decided whether to take action against Jordan Davis, CBS reported.
