Austin Hollins last first-half at Williams Arena was one for the books.
The senior guard poured in 18 points — canning 5 of 8 from deep — as Minnesota leads Southern Miss 44-40
The Gophers needed the production, too. Southern Miss was scoring at a rampant rate and built a 33-25 lead.
That's when Hollins took over. He scored the Gophers next 12 points, including an and-1 triple in transition and a bomb from NBA range, to surge the Gophers out in front.
If his second half performance even slightly compares to what he did in the first 20 minutes, the Gophers are Garden bound.
