A University of Minnesota student was robbed Monday evening, according to a University of Minnesota Police Department timely warning.
The Minneapolis Police Department responded to the incident, which occurred near the intersection of 27th Avenue Southeast and 4th Street Southeast, at approximately 7:30 p.m. The incident was the University’s third timely warning since Sept. 2.
The victim was reportedly approached by five males, aged 15 to 18, while walking to his apartment around 7:30 p.m. One of the suspects stated he was carrying a gun, and another punched the victim in the face and stole his valuables, according to the timely warning.
The suspects fled the scene on-foot, heading southbound toward University Avenue Southeast.
