A small plane crashed in south-central Minnesota Wednesday, resulting in multiple fatalities, according to the Associated Press.
The plane crashed in a field near the city of Glencoe, said McLeod County Sheriff Scott Rehmann. Rehmann said there are no survivors.
Hutchinson Leader editor Doug Hanneman told the AP that plane parts are scattered across several hundred yards. Rehmann said witnesses heard a popping noise before the crash.
Local firefighters put out the burning wreckage.
