TCF Bank Stadium will host its first concert when U2 pays a (delayed) visit Saturday, and the Irish quartet is bringing a few friends.
More than 1,700 crew members and 48 trucks will descend on campus to construct “The Claw,” the band’s 170-foot stage, according to the Star Tribune.
Construction teams have already annexed a parking lot behind TCF Bank Stadium as a staging area for the concert. Twenty-two semi trailers, each carrying pieces of the puzzle that will eventually become the mammoth stage, are waiting to be unloaded.

The stage will take four days to build and two days to tear down.
