The Gophers women’s golf team is eighth out of 16 teams after two rounds at the Clover Cup in Mesa, Ariz. Minnesota shot 24-over par through its first 36 holes at the Longbow Golf Club. Oklahoma leads the tournament with a score of 6-under par.
Sophomore Anna Laorr leads the Gophers in 14th place. She shot rounds of 1-over par and 2-over par, respectively. Junior Banchalee Theinthong is one shot behind Laorr in 19th place.
Teams had to play 36 holes on Saturday after heavy rains suspended play on Friday. Minnesota will finish the Clover Cup on Sunday. Check Monday’s Minnesota Daily for a full recap.
