The University will receive approximately $720,000 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for a lung disease research program, Sen. Norm Coleman, R-Minn., announced Monday.
Through the funding, 12 people will receive three years of research training.
Besides research, the funding will also assist researchers in attaining higher education degrees.
In a statement, Coleman said the University is renowned for its research programs, and the funding will allow researchers to reach their fullest intellectual potential.
